About Hannah
Whilst I have always enjoyed teaching, I am particularly passionate about providing the support to allow you to fulfil your academic potential. I believe each child's learning style is individual and cater to this in my sessions but crucially, I emphasise the importance of building upon key concepts in order to develop a deep understanding, which, in turn, aids memory in a particular topic.
I believe strongly, in creating a positive learning environment and always maintain this through being approachable, encouraging and supportive.

By taking the time to understands your individual learning style, I will create lessons and exercises that teach, consolidate, and then build on, fundamental concepts in an engaging way. Whilst stretching you in areas that you are more confident in, extra support, through the use of targeted practise, will be given in any areas that are more challenging to you.
My lessons are greatly interactive and whilst I will explain new or challenging concepts thoroughly, aided by “key point” notes and examples (which you will have access to throughout the course of learning and proves to be a useful revision tool) I will work up to the point of a deep level of understanding in a topic where you feel comfortable to attempt different styles of questions and explain your method for longer, more complicated problems.
Exercises will be carried out in each session to consolidate concepts learnt and highlight any challenge areas where I can support you face-to-face, but also worksheets will be provided for extra practise after each session. These worksheets allow you to become comfortable with the concepts just learnt but also revisit previous topics.
