About Matt
I've been tutoring for almost forty years now. I have taught applied uses of chemicals in industrial settings including safe chemical handling, remediation and what to do in case of an emergency.
Chemistry is a lot more than basic concepts, memorizing the periodic table and doing well on a test. It's about learning how everything works. Chemistry is fundamental to biology (life), physics (how things work), even cell phones and any application.
There used to be an attraction at Walt Disney World hosted by Monsanto that mentioned that "without chemicals, all life would be impossible". I've always remembered that and it has served me with a proper perspective in my career.

My approach is to break down broad concepts into easier understandable pieces. As a tutor, I work for the client and we go at your pace. I have a lot of supplementary material available including textbooks, lab manuals and more. I have an extensive list of practice questions, tests, flash cards and more.
I often send homework to the client and will grade it. Using this approach minimizes tutoring time and makes things budget friendly.
