About Sarah
Hi ~ I have been a “professional student” for 28 years! I have plenty of experience in study techniques, a background in math and chemistry, and effective teaching skills. My experience in higher education helps me from a unique vantage point, as I can see both sides - student and teacher. My semesterly reviews of my students include that I am patient, fair, helpful, and supportive. I remember the challenges of my math and science courses, but more importantly, how to overcome them! I have experience in tutoring middle school, high school, and college level courses as well as teaching college level laboratories.

I ask a lot of questions in the beginning to gauge what your strengths and understandings are, and how to improve on areas that are more difficult. Aside from tutoring you in the subject, I will encourage better study and organization habits. My students in the past love that rather than giving answers right away, I ask lots of questions to guide you to your understanding of the correct answer.
