About Leah
I am a Chemistry PhD student at the University of Oxford, after studying my Bachelor's and Master's in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I started out tutoring through helping my younger brother's and sister's friends with their Maths GCSEs after school and found that I really enjoyed watching them greatly improve their grades and grow in confidence along the way and I have decided to pursue tutoring ever since. I love to personalise my attitude and strategy to each individual child as I believe that each child learns best in their own way. I'm very passionate about Science and Maths and I love to take part in outreach in my spare time to share the subjects that I enjoy so much and inspire other children to take the path into further STEM education.

I have had 7 years experience teaching from ages 8-18 years old and my typical lessons are 1 hour and personalised to your individual needs whether that be preparing for an upcoming exam or general learning and improvement. I believe the best way to learn is by getting to know the students' personal needs and I do my best to identify their strengths and weaknesses. I have experience with children with many different requirements and my no. 1 goal above anything is to boost confidence as I believe that this is where students learn best!
