About Matthew
I’m a 2nd year university student enrolled in a Chemistry Master's course at Bristol University. I did Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A level. I chose to pursue Chemistry as it was my favourite out of the three but love to teach others about maths and science in general.

I’ll teach in a way that is specific to each student. I’ll consider where their current level is and discuss a desired grade. I teach at GCSE level, however I will also happily take on younger students. I was this age not too long ago and still remember what it was like trying to learn at this age. It can be difficult to be motivated and so my teaching style is always about keeping you interested before anything else! My lessons will usually begin with an overview of the topic associated with that session and discuss any uncertainty surrounding it. The majority of the lesson will be going over examples and exam style questions as this is the most effective way of understanding. Questions are the best way to work out what you know and don't know! The aims for my tutoring lessons: -Identify and discuss any weaknesses -Make sure there is no stress surrounding your learning -Make sure content is properly understood and not just memorised! An hour tends to work for most people but I am happy to discuss doing shorter sessions. Currently my tutoring experience is just with family friends, however due to the encouraging feedback I am looking for online students!
