About Max
I graduated from the university of Sheffield after achieving a master’s degree in chemistry in January. Immediately after graduation I took up the position of a full time private residential tutor in Cape Town. Their I taught chemistry one on one to the specification of the Cambridge international A level. I taught chemistry in Cape Town for a number of months before returning to the UK

I prioritise flexibility in my teaching method. I strive to be receptive to a students’ needs at all times and if needs be, adjust lesson plans accordingly to suit the students progress. I also value assessing knowledge and developing a student’s confidence in answering questions in an exam style.
I approach each topic by identifying the key concepts present. After ensuring the key concepts are presented in a manner that suits the student, these concepts are explored further. Also, how the concepts would be examined are considered.
