About Areeba

Hello, and welcome! My name is Areeba Haider, and I’m a fully qualified and experienced Chemistry teacher, specialising in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry. With a strong academic background and a passion for science education, I am committed to helping students achieve their full potential in this challenging but rewarding subject. My teaching style is supportive, structured, and exam-focused. I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and use real-life examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand. Lessons are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions, tackle problems, and think like chemists. I place a strong emphasis on: Developing deep understanding, not just memorisation Building confidence through regular practice and feedback Strengthening exam technique with past paper questions and targeted revision Whether you’re aiming for a top grade or trying to gain a solid pass, I will help you approach Chemistry with clarity and confidence.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is focused on building a deep understanding of chemical concepts while developing strong exam technique. I adapt each lesson to suit the student's learning style and needs, using a variety of methods: Clear, structured explanations of core concepts, often using diagrams, models, and analogies to bring abstract ideas to life. Step-by-step problem solving, especially for calculations and practical-based questions. Interactive questioning to encourage critical thinking and check understanding as we go. Exam-focused practice, using past paper questions and mark schemes to build confidence and familiarity with exam-style problems. Regular revision and retrieval practice, including spaced repetition and mini quizzes to reinforce long-term retention. I create a supportive and patient environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because that’s where real learning happens. Length of a Lesson: My lesson length is 60 minutes, which is ideal for covering one or two key topics in depth, along with practice and review. For students preparing for exams or needing more intensive help, I also offer 90-minute sessions when appropriate. Qualifications and Experience: Master of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry. Bachelor of education in ICT of education. 4 years of teaching experience in schools and as a private tutor
