About James
I’m a graduate-entry medical student with a degree in Chemistry, and I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand topics that initially seem difficult. Having gone through GCSEs, A-levels and university myself, I know how important it is not just to understand the content, but to learn how to approach exams effectively.
I want to teach because I find it genuinely rewarding to see students gain confidence and improve. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where no question feels “stupid”, and where students feel comfortable working through problems at their own pace.
I’m reliable, organised, and take a professional approach to lessons, while keeping them engaging and focused on what will help you achieve your goals.

My tutoring is fully online and tailored to each student. I focus on clear explanations alongside exam-style practice, as this is the most effective way to improve both understanding and grades.
In maths, I teach step-by-step methods and help students recognise patterns they can apply in exams.
In chemistry, I focus on building a strong understanding of key concepts and then applying them to typical exam questions. I regularly use past papers and mark schemes to show students how to pick up marks efficiently.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes but can be flexible with sufficient notice.
I am a graduate-entry medical student with a degree in Chemistry, with experience explaining complex topics in a clear and approachable way.
My lessons are for GCSE and A-level students of all abilities, whether you are aiming to pass, improve your grade, or achieve top marks.
