About Alex

Completed diplomas: BSc Graduate in Biomedical Science. MSc in research Chemistry/Physics (Imaging). Currently study: Graduate Medicine. Provided 1000s of classes over many years to help students achieve their academic goals. I have also worked in a number of science industries and more than happy to share insight from my experiences!

About the lesson

I teach multiple exam boards AQA, CIE, Edexcel, IB (International Baccalaureate) & OCR. Classes are very flexible. Outlined below is an expected timeline for a 60-minute A-level class: 00-05 Define aims. 05-10 Review exam-style questions. 10-30 Work through core concept (via virtual whiteboard, PowerPoint and discussion). 30-45 Answer exam-style questions. 45-55 Mark and resolve. 55-60 Summary. Preparation materials are provided. Short 10-15 minute HW can be set after each class.

Perfect! Alex is super organised and makes it simpler and easier for the student. He started with analysing the needs and then investing efforts towards faster knowledge building.
His classes even though remote but are interactive and my daughter learns well by annotating and answering the Q&A, which further cements her learning.
