About Ali
I struggled a lot in high school with math and chemistry. I wasn't the best by any stretch of the imagination. However, I learned how to study these subjects in college and I was able to get A's in every chemistry, math and physics course I took in my bachelors and masters degree. I truly do believe that one can learn these subjects with enough effort and proper guidance to study properly.

I am a very patient person who will go the extra mile to ensure that you understand a concept. I will try my best to break down complex concepts with analogies that are easier to understand.
I believe that applying what you learn is the best way to learn. For example, I think that one should do practice problems or work on a project as they learn a topic or several topics. This impacts my teaching philosophy as well. In the physical sciences and math, I think it is best to break down a concept and then apply it to problems.
A typical lesson plan would be to first hear what you would like to go over. I will hear if you're having any struggles and we'll address those first with reading material, videos, or practice problems. Then, we will continue on to other concepts by looking at notes from your course and applying them to problems.
I can tutor chemistry at any high school level (AP, honors, etc.) as well as general chemistry at the college level. I can also teach organic chemistry. I can tutor physics at the high school level as well as at the college level for bio/chem majors.
