About Diego
Hello! My name is Diego - I recently completed my PhD in organic chemistry at Princeton University, where my research focused on physical organic chemistry, photoredox catalysis, and proton-coupled electron transfer. I have taught organic chemistry at both the undergraduate and graduate level at UT Austin and Princeton, including Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, and Physical Organic Chemistry. I served as the head teaching assistant for all these courses.

My tutoring style emphasizes mechanism-first problem solving rather than memorization. Together, we will figure out why reactions occur - what do the protons, electrons, and other atoms do in a given reaction? How do we understand this?
I am especially helpful for pre-med students, students in accelerated summer organic chemistry courses, and students who feel like they are “bad at organic chemistry” because the class has become a pile of reactions to memorize.
