About Myla
I am a chemistry tutor with 11 years of experience and a background in B.Sc Chemistry and M.Sc Physical Chemistry. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners across multiple levels, from high school to university, helping them grasp complex concepts while developing practical and analytical skills. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, conceptual understanding, hands-on practice, and problem-solving, ensuring students gain both knowledge and confidence.
I design lessons that encourage curiosity, reflection, and independent reasoning. Each session is tailored to the learner’s pace, experience, and interests, allowing them to build mastery while staying motivated. I integrate visual aids, simulations, and real-life applications to make abstract concepts tangible and engaging.
Beyond the classroom, I remain engaged with contemporary chemical research, laboratory innovations, and interdisciplinary studies. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness students evolve from tentative learners to confident problem-solvers capable of analyzing, reasoning, and applying their knowledge independently. Supporting their intellectual growth, curiosity, and skill development is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Chemistry lessons are crafted to provide students with both a deep conceptual understanding and practical mastery. I begin with fundamental principles, including atomic and molecular structures, chemical bonding, periodicity, stoichiometry, and thermodynamics. From there, we explore kinetics, equilibrium, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and organic reaction mechanisms in a carefully structured progression that balances theory and application. Each session incorporates hands-on simulations, interactive exercises, and problem-solving scenarios that demonstrate how concepts translate into observable phenomena. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, reflect on outcomes, and develop critical thinking skills, ensuring that learning is not only effective but also intellectually engaging and rewarding.
Advanced lessons focus on applied techniques such as titration design, analytical calculations, reaction mechanism modeling, spectroscopy interpretation, and laboratory problem-solving. Students also explore interdisciplinary links with physics, biology, and environmental science to contextualize chemical principles in broader scientific applications. Personalized guidance ensures learners develop accuracy, attention to detail, and confidence in manipulating chemical systems. Each exercise is designed to cultivate analytical thinking and methodical reasoning, fostering both competence and curiosity.
Studying chemistry nurtures scientific literacy, observational skills, structured problem-solving, and intellectual curiosity. Students gain confidence in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and predicting outcomes while understanding the underlying principles. My goal is to create an environment where learners feel empowered to explore, experiment, and develop mastery in chemistry, preparing them for academic success, research challenges, and professional applications.
