About Robert
15 years experience as an Organic Chemist as various Pharmaceutical and Biotech Companies. Have 10 years teaching various Chemistry (Basic, General, Freshman and Organic Chemistry 1 and 2) and Physics (Conceptual and Algebra based Physics 1) courses at the community college level. Have previous experience doing private tutoring as well.

My goal is to build trust with the student and the parents. I want to build the confidence of the student through leading by example. The method that I use is as follows:
1. Do an example problem by showing the student how to break a problem down by underlining key phrases.
2. List the known quantities and what is the problem asking for.
3. What is the appropriate formula and or concept needed to solve problem.
4. Do we need to convert units?
5. Plug in the values and get the answer.
6. Is the answer reasonable?
7. Have the student do a problem following my lead.
