About Yonela
I am a chemistry and biochemistry student in her final year of study. I am also an aspiring singer/ writer. I write short stories and poems and I'm currently working on starting a YouTube channel to promote myself as an artist. I worked as a lab assistant for two years, a job that entailed teaching and supervising students.

I am a very intuitive person so I make an effort to understand a student's learning style and employing an effective and relevant teaching method that caters to that individual. I am somewhat strict but I balance that out by being fun and using humorous language to peak a student's interest. I focus more on understanding than simple cramming. Yes I prioritise marks but I also prioritise ensuring the students truly captures the information. With English as an example, I improve a student's vocabulary by having them take all the new words they've learnt and writing a short story that shows how much they understand their meaning. That is especially effective with students who are aspiring writers.
