Teaching approach and methodology:
My tutoring approach focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation before moving into problem-solving practice. I aim to simplify complex ideas using clear explanations and step-by-step reasoning, often linking concepts to real-world applications to improve understanding and retention. I also emphasize active learning by encouraging students to attempt questions independently before guiding them through corrections.
Lesson structure and duration:
A typical lesson runs for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. Sessions generally include a brief review of previous content, targeted teaching of new concepts, guided practice, and independent problem-solving with feedback.
Qualifications and experience:
While I am early in my university studies, my strong academic background (ATAR 99.1) reflects my proficiency in Mathematics and Chemistry. I have experience assisting peers with their studies, which has helped me develop patience and the ability to explain concepts in multiple ways to suit different learning styles.
Target students:
I am able to tutor high school students from Years 7 to 12, primarily in Mathematics and Chemistry, including those preparing for exams or aiming to improve their overall understanding and performance.
