My methodology is all about practice! I believe in first and foremost providing kids with the fundamental tools needed to achieve success in whatever it is I am teaching. A typical session would include first asking the child what they worked on last or what they are currently working on, and what their questions are regarding that item. After answering the questions, I would gauge what the child needs more work on. I would then cater the rest of the session towards solidifying their basic understanding of those concepts, and then giving them progressively more difficult opportunities to put that understanding into practice.
