About Johanne
I have worked in industry as a chemical engineer since 1990. Along the way, I have tutored high school students in preparation for their SAT for a period of 5 years. I have seen many succeed, including both nephews who were told they had learning disabilities, especially in mathematics. Both have graduated with a Bachelor's degree, and one of them is a Computer Analyst.

I am patient and take time to know and understand my students along with theirs strengths and weaknesses. I encourage them to solidify their strengths while helping them to work on their weakness. I work with the students on what they do not understand but also try to encourage independence by working on their study strategy, time management and work life balance. I am patient, empathetic and a good listener. I do my best to evaluate each student individually as to come up with the most effective learning methods.
