About Thomas
It's difficult to admit you need help. Especially with math. But you are not alone. Many have struggled and succeeded with my guidance. I've been teaching students for almost 10 years from all backgrounds, levels, and aptitudes. As a chemical engineer with academic and real world experience, I'm confident that I can help you achieve your goals and help you develop the tools to help you be successful in the future.

Every student is different and so such are the methodologies and techniques used for tutoring. I generally try to incorporate inquiry-driven lessons to find where the student is struggling the most then tutor them in an approach that is best suited for their learning style.
Typical lessons will start with a review from previous work and a brief discussion if there are any techniques or problems the student is still uncertain of. Second, would be current homework, lessons, and reviewing the students notes. Third, we would work some examples together. Finally, the student would work problems independently with space for questions as they move through the problems.
What sets me apart as a tutor is I have experience not only as a student and teacher, but as a professional with real world application which I find to be beneficial for students struggling to find purpose in what they are learning.
I'm comfortable with working with those seeking undergraduate degrees, high school students, and elementary school students.
