About Sancha

Hi! My name is Sancha, and I’m a qualified Chemical Engineer with a strong foundation in Mathematics, which I minored in during university. During my studies, I had the privilege of serving as Head Tutor for Mathematics 3 at the University of Cape Town, where I helped students break down complex concepts into manageable, understandable steps. Math has always been a subject I’ve loved — not just for its logic and structure, but for the “aha” moments it creates when things finally click. I enjoy creating a supportive, engaging environment where learners can build confidence and truly enjoy the process of learning. Outside of tutoring, I’m an outdoor enthusiast — you’ll often find me reading, hiking, running, or soaking up nature whenever I can. If you're looking for a tutor who is passionate, patient, and committed to your progress, I’d love to work with you!

About the lesson

As a qualified Chemical Engineer with a background in advanced mathematics and experience as a university Head Tutor for Mathematics 3, I bring both depth of knowledge and a practical, structured approach to tutoring. I believe that math becomes far more manageable when it's broken down into clear, logical steps — and that’s exactly what I help my students do.

I tailor each lesson to the individual - either working with the student on his/her particular areas of difficulty or systematically working through the syllabus of his/her Grade.
I adapt to learning style and pace, using simple explanations, guided practice, and real-world examples to build understanding and confidence. I also emphasize strengthening foundational concepts, which is often the key to long-term success in math.

What you can expect:
Each lesson is:
- Goal-oriented: we’ll tackle the concepts or problem areas you want to improve
- Interactive: I encourage questions, step-by-step problem solving, and active participation
- Supportive: I create a positive learning environment to reduce math anxiety and boost confidence
