About Mustafa

Hi, I'm Mustafa, a Computer Science student at Michigan State University with a 3.9+ CGPA who tutors math online. I cover everything from Algebra and Pre-Calculus through Calculus I, II, and III and into Linear Algebra, for high school and college students. As a CS major, I use math every day and genuinely enjoy making it click for others.

About the lesson

I lead with the why before the how. Before touching a single formula, we talk through what a concept actually means and why it exists, because understanding the idea makes the mechanics easy to remember. I use real-world analogies and visuals to build intuition first, then move to worked examples and practice problems together. Lessons are a two-way conversation, not a lecture.

A typical lesson
Quick check-in (5 min) — We review what you struggled with since the last session so I can adjust the focus.
Concept build (15 min) — I introduce or revisit the topic with a plain-language explanation and a visual or analogy, no formulas yet.
Worked examples (20 min) — We walk through problems together, narrating each step so you understand not just what to write, but why.
You try it (15 min) — You attempt problems while I watch and give targeted feedback in real time.
Wrap-up (5 min) — I summarize the key insight from the session and suggest what to practice before next time
