About Michal
As a graduate of Central European University with over 10 years of experience in teaching, mentoring and public speaking, I bring both academic depth and practical guidance to every lesson. I believe that learning history and literature is not about memorising facts, but about understanding the world and developing your own voice. My goal is to help students think critically, write clearly, and feel confident in their ideas – whether they are preparing for final exams or writing university essays. I offer a friendly but focused learning environment tailored to each student’s needs.

I guide students through historical topics using discussion and step-by-step essay building. I focus on understanding context, analysing sources, and expressing ideas clearly. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with an emphasis on critical thinking and argumentation. Most lessons last 60 minutes; 90-minute sessions are available for essays or exam prep. I hold a master’s degree in Comparative History from Central European University (CEU) and a bachelor's in Romani Studies from Charles University. I have over 10 years of experience teaching and mentoring – from high school workshops to university-level seminars. I have also worked in education-focused NGOs and presented at conferences. I teach high school students preparing for Czech Maturita or A-levels, as well as university students who need help with academic writing, essay planning, and understanding historical texts. I also support mature students returning to study or applying for university programmes in humanities and social sciences.
