About Sierra
I grew up in Hawaii speaking both English and Hawaiian Creole (Pidgin English). I normally work in Finance and Accounting. I got certified to teach English during COVID. All of my teaching experience has been in an online setting. I've found that I really enjoy teaching and learning about my students who usually come from very different backgrounds than I do. I have a BS in Nutrition. I have a son and a cat. I love to travel and try new foods!

I focus on conversational skill building and fluency. I can also assist with business/finance language, English-language accounting terms, and job application/resume wording. I assess my student's needs and then assign short speaking, reading and writing projects based on their interests.
