About Amanda
Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am a certified teacher with my reading and ESE endorsement. In addition to my degree and multiple endorsements, I have been trained in Orton-Gillingham as well as UFLI - two research-based, multimodal approaches to reading instruction that have been proven to benefit students with dyslexia. I have a combined 8 years of experience teaching students ages Pre-K to grade 3. I have a known history of making student growth and helping students to succeed! I believe in creating strong family/teacher connections to help each child succeed. Therefore, I welcome any suggestions and tips from parents on how your child learns best. Together, we can create a strong and confident reader!

I believe every student can become an excellent reader! My approach to tutoring meets students where they are at. Utilizing your student's strengths, we will target their areas in need of improvement and set meaningful goals. A typical phonics lesson plan includes a multimodal approach that has a history of improving student outcomes and is backed by research. These lessons are targeted for students in Pre-K through Grade 3 who may be struggling with phonics or phonemic awareness.
