As a certified elementary and special education teacher, I am passionate about making math accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for all learners. With experience teaching K-12 students, I specialize in adapting lessons to fit different learning styles, ensuring that every student gains confidence in their math skills. My Approach as a Tutor

Teaching Methods & Techniques
I use a student-centered, interactive approach that adapts to each learner’s needs. My methods include: Hands-on & kinesthetic learning: Using manipulatives, real-world examples, and movement-based activities to reinforce math concepts. Visual & conceptual understanding: Breaking down abstract math ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations with diagrams and models. Problem-solving focus: Encouraging critical thinking and guiding students through multiple strategies to find solutions.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up & Review (5-10 min) – Quick problem-solving activity or game to reinforce prior knowledge. Concept Introduction (10-15 min) – Direct instruction with interactive explanations, visuals, and real-life applications. Guided Practice (15-20 min) – Working through problems together using different methods to build confidence. Independent Application (10-15 min) – Students practice with support as needed. Wrap-up & Reflection (5 min) – Discussion of key takeaways, student questions, and next steps.
