About the lesson

I use a structured literacy approach to reading instruction, specializing in the Orton-Gillingham method. This evidence-based technique helps students of all learning styles, especially those with dyslexia or reading difficulties, build strong reading and writing foundations. I focus on breaking down words into sounds and patterns, reinforcing skills with repetition and targeted practice.

Each lesson is personalized based on the student’s needs, and I integrate interactive activities to keep them engaged while they build confidence in their abilities. My lessons typically begin with a review of previous material, followed by direct instruction on new skills, and end with practice exercises that reinforce learning. I also offer homework help, ensuring students understand and complete their assignments correctly.

What sets me apart is my combination of certification in English and Math, paired with my extensive training in Orton-Gillingham, which gives me the flexibility to support students across a variety of subjects while building strong reading skills.

My lessons are designed for students of all ages, from elementary through high school, who are looking to improve their reading skills or need support with homework.
