About Niyanna
Hi! My name is Niyanna, and I’m a certified K–6 teacher with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and extensive experience working with children in both academic and mentoring settings. I’m passionate about helping students feel confident in their abilities and develop a positive relationship with learning.
Over the years, I’ve worked with children in schools, after-school programs, tutoring programs, and youth sports environments. This experience has helped me understand how to connect with students of different ages, personalities, and learning styles. I believe every child can succeed when they receive the right support, encouragement, and teaching approach.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades but also to strengthen their critical thinking, study skills, and confidence. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing at their own pace.

My lessons are designed to help students in grades K–6 build strong academic foundations while also growing their confidence. As a certified K–6 teacher with a background in psychology and extensive experience working with children, I understand that every student learns differently. I tailor each session to match your child’s learning style, pace, and academic needs.
During lessons, I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps. I incorporate interactive learning, real-life examples, and positive encouragement so students stay engaged and feel comfortable asking questions. Whether your child needs help with reading, writing, math, homework support, or building better study habits, my goal is to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable.
I also emphasize patience, consistency, and confidence-building so students not only improve their grades but also develop the skills they need to succeed independently in the classroom.
