About Léonard
Holder of the CAPES (Certificate of Professional Qualifications for Teaching) and the agrégation de lettres modernes (Aggregation of Modern Literature), I received solid training in literature, grammar, and French teaching. After graduating, I began my career in a public high school in Haute-Savoie, which allowed me to familiarize myself with the local educational context and develop an approach adapted to students.
Wishing to perfect my skills, I attended various continuing education courses and educational workshops, particularly on the use of new technologies in teaching French. These experiences enriched my practice and led me to adopt innovative methods to stimulate student motivation and understanding.
Over the years, I have also participated in cultural and literary projects—writing competitions, meetings with authors, creative writing workshops—which make learning more lively and foster interest in the French language and literature.
As a teacher in Haute-Savoie, I highlight local heritage and the mountain environment in my classes to connect local culture and the French language. I also pay particular attention to providing personalized support to each student, taking into account their needs and future plans.
My educational commitment and my passion for the French language motivate me to continue to progress and to contribute to the development of students, by transmitting to them not only knowledge, but also a taste for French literature and language.

As a qualified French teacher working in middle and high schools, I now offer private lessons to help students master French. My goal is to provide them with effective teaching tools while sparking their interest in literature.
First, we discuss the techniques to be mastered and the expectations of the programs, detailing in particular the content of the new guidelines for the anticipated French exams in high school, implemented at the start of the 2020 school year. This concerns grammar, spelling, reading and writing, as well as preparation for oral exams. Then, I pay particular attention to strengthening my students' self-confidence by highlighting their qualities and skills. Finally, I consider it essential to develop their taste for the French language and culture, in particular by reading texts adapted to their level and interests.
Over the past three years, all my students have passed their national exams, with the majority achieving distinction.
I also organize baccalaureate and brevet preparation courses during school holidays, in order to maximize their chances of success.
