About Sophia
My name is Sophia. I love teaching and helping students uncover their passions in learning. Whether it be math, science, or art, we can incorporate it into any lesson to make it fun and educational. I am a very strong believer that the best learning happens when students can relate to the content.

I use a practical hands on approach while teaching. I believe students should be allowed to try and make mistakes in order to learn from them. A typical lesson will include a warm-up/introduction to the subject to gain insight as to where your student is at. Followed by the practical lesson component that will include teaching and practice. To end I do mini assessments to understand what your student took away from the lesson and where to start off next time. I typically teach Kindergarten to Grade 8 in all subjects and can teach in both English and French if your student is in French Immersion.
