My daughter got into making paper stuffies with her pals, but I thought it was a bit wasteful. Suggested she learn to sew instead. Been following Joanne on Insta, noticed she teaches painting, so I asked if she does sewing too. Joanne's been awesome, teaching my daughter to sew. They've nailed 3 projects, and the one-on-one sessions are a hit. Daughter's super pumped about the classes. Joanne's experience really shines, highly recommend her!
Joanne is pleasant and knowledgeable, she was very patient and helpful with my sewing project. Joanne answers her texts in a timely fashion. She was a joy to work with!

You couldn’t find a better teacher than her!

Joanne is an amazing artist, having run several paint nights and participated in two art battles in the Edmonton/Calgary areas. While I charge per hour, the recommended time for a sewing lesson is 2-3 hours. As the subject matter is very hands-on, it is difficult to accomplish much in 1 hour.
The rate specified is per student per hour. It is an additional $25/hr per additional student.
Materials and equipment are not included in the hourly rate. Sewing machine rental is $5/hour.
