About Jim
I'm Jim, a certified high school teacher and Ivy League graduate who has spent a career in classrooms and one-on-one tutoring sessions. I specialize in SAT and GED math, English, and essay writing for students in grades 7–12. I take a diagnostic-first approach: I find exactly where a student's understanding breaks down and rebuild from there, teaching the underlying logic so students can solve problems they haven't seen before.

I'm a certified high school teacher and Ivy League graduate, and I've spent my career in classrooms and one-on-one sessions — teaching high school students and tutoring at both the high school and college levels. I work with students in grades 7–12 across most subjects, with deep focus on SAT and GED math, English, and essay writing. My approach is diagnostic first: I find exactly where a student's understanding breaks down, then rebuild from there — no generic worksheets, no one-size-fits-all plans. Sessions are structured but conversational. I teach the underlying logic so students can solve problems they haven't seen before, not just the ones in front of them. I also help with business coursework and practical AI skills. Whether we're prepping for the SAT, working toward a GED, or shoring up a tough semester, the goal is the same: real understanding, real confidence, real results.
