About Rachel
I spent over 7 years in public education as a special education teacher and have taught students of all abilities how to read. I have extensive training in approaches based on the science of reading, such as Orton-Gillingham. Now, I get to work with students one-on-one who can benefit from an evidence-based approach in a fun way!

I can help! As a certified special education and elementary teacher, I offer personalized, play-based virtual reading tutoring sessions for children ages 4.5-8 years old (older children considered on a case-by-case basis).
My approach combines the best of structured literacy with engaging activities to make learning fun and effective. I specialize in phonics instruction, reading intervention, and dyslexia support.
