About Jada
Hello! My name is Ms. Kelley, and I am a Kindergarten teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (Pre-K–6th Grade) and a minor in Christianity and Culture. I currently teach at a Christian school and love helping young learners grow in confidence and academic success.
My experience includes student teaching in Kindergarten and 4th grade, tutoring 1st-grade students in reading and writing, teaching preschool in Maryland, and assisting at a preschool in Africa during a month-long mission trip.
I am especially passionate about helping students learn to read and write. I enjoy making learning engaging, creative, and fun while creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to do their best. I believe every child is capable of success, and I feel blessed to help students build confidence, reach their goals, and develop a love for learning.

To evaluate a student's needs, I begin by establishing a comfortable, low-pressure environment during our first session to assess both their academic skills and learning mindset. I observe how they interact with the material by introducing foundational tasks, utilizing visual aids, and having them talk through their thought process or repeat concepts back to me. This hands-on approach allows me to pinpoint specific knowledge gaps, gauge their frustration thresholds, and understand their unique learning style. By combining these observations with input from the student on what feels challenging, I can design a customized, targeted learning plan that meets them exactly where they are.
