About Chance
During my career in MEP Engineering, I've tested and passed the Certified in Plumbing Engineering credential twice, which utilizes many forms of advanced mathematics, problem solving, multi-facet stages of applying math principles in order to identify the solutions to given questions. In my career, the situations, and problems come in many unexpected forms, challenging one to sift through the situation, find where the "holes" and "needs" are, then apply the appropriate mathematics and problem solving. This is what I've also been able to teach others under my supervision to explore for themselves.

My approach to teaching and mentoring has always been to start with what the student/mentee knows, where they have trouble, and then filling in the blanks in a way that makes sense to their style of learning. I often use visual aids with lessons, as well as real-life applications, in order to help them grasp the concept more solidly. The "I'll show you, we'll do it together, then you try it" method typically works very well.
