About Sophia
My name is Sophia Cummings. I am an Ontario certified senior and intermediate level teacher in English and history. I have taught English, and all its forms, for five years and am thrilled to have the opportunity to offer my assistance for anyone who requires it.

My experiences have allowed me to develop a strong sense of empathy. Understanding the different lenses in which students think, as well as the differing environments they come from, truly aids in the establishment of strong, supportive relationships. As a life-long learner myself, I believe that with every new interaction there is an opportunity to further one’s understanding. It is very important to always be observant and attentive when establishing a positive and inclusive learning environment.
