About Hana
I have been teaching high school math for the past 12 years. I've taught many levels and all grade levels. Learning is my passion and I will bring excitement and joy to each lesson. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's in Mathematics along with a Master's in Teaching and a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I love learning and that is always apparent in my lessons with students.

I focus on supplementing learning with visuals and concrete examples. My teaching method blends direct instruction with collaborative problem-solving. I will be your thought partner as you work through the lesson. We'll start with a warm-up that incorporates your prior knowledge. I will state the goal of the lesson and then explain the new concepts clearly while you ask clarifying questions. Each lesson ends with a reflective summary to consolidate key ideas and prepare for next steps. What sets me apart is my ability to make challenging content accessible. I teach with a smile and create positive relationships with my students. I always remember that I also had a math tutor in high school, so I know how it feels! My lessons are designed for high school students studying AP Calculus AB or BC or college students in Calculus I or II.
