About Kimberly
Hi Future Students! I'm a former 4th & 5th grade teacher on a mission to make learning fun! Some of my favorite things to incorporate in my lessons are interactive slides, digital quizzes (like Blooket & Quizizz), and- of course- what interests you! I'll be the perfect tutor for you if you love to learn or are open to learning how to love to learn again (that was a mouthful, huh?). I am a kind & patient tutor that will work with you to ensure you understand the concepts we're reviewing. My lessons depend heavily on you- my student! I like to use lots of examples from what you're seeing in class to walk you through the process of getting from X (understanding the problem) to Y (successfully getting the right answer using assured methods). Once I start to understand what you're learning in class and where your pain points are, I like to incorporate lots of acronyms + memory aids and games (yes, games- because I think math can be SO much fun it can become gamified super easy!). So if you're a grade school student looking to make math fun instead of dreading every class, it's time for us to work together!
