About Josie

I am an experienced and passionate educator and instructional leader with over 11 years of teaching experience in international schools across the United States, China, and Mexico. As a certified English teacher and current department leader, I bring deep expertise in IB (MYP), English language learning, and standards-based curriculum design.

I am known for creating structured, purposeful lessons that help students build lasting skills in writing, reading, and critical thinking. My approach focuses on developing confident, independent learners who can succeed across subjects and academic challenges.

I hold a Washington State teaching license with endorsements in teaching English language learners and Secondary English language and literature.

I specialize in teaching conversational English, academic English, presentation skills, formal essay writing, creative writing, and close reading skills at all levels.
