About Zena

Hello! My name is Zena Aboelnasr, and I’ve been passionate about teaching for as long as I can remember, coming from a family of educators who instilled in me the value of learning. I believe that education is not just about passing tests—it’s about fostering curiosity and empowering students to seek knowledge and grow as lifelong learners. I love exploring different cultures and places, having lived abroad myself in Dubai during my high school years, and I aim to bring that global perspective into my teaching.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, and doing creative activities like painting and sketching. Currently, I’m pursuing certification to become a school building administrator, as I continue to seek new opportunities for growth. My teaching philosophy is centered on making learning accessible, enjoyable, and personalized to meet each student’s unique needs. Let’s embark on a learning journey that inspires confidence and curiosity!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is rooted in conceptual learning, designed to promote deep understanding and real-world application of the subject matter. I believe in meeting my students where they are, using personalized strategies that address their individual needs. Being certified in both general and special education, I employ differentiated instruction and innovative methods that engage students of all learning levels, including English language learners. I also emphasize teaching study habits and long-lasting strategies that help students succeed beyond the classroom.

What truly sets me apart is my ability to connect with students on a personal level, ensuring that learning is both enjoyable and effective. As a young, dynamic teacher, I relate well to students and create a comfortable learning environment. I specialize in grades K-12, helping students achieve high pass rates & teaching English Language Learners.
