About Nisha

¡Hola! ¡Encantada de conocerte! Soy Nisha, Licenciada en ADE y posgrado en profesorado con experiencia durante 10 años en esta profesión tan gratificante. In other words, I am a multilingual, creative, resourceful Business studies graduate in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. However, because of my interest in transmitting my knowledge as an educator I studied a postgraduate in Teaching by taking the CAP exam, “Certificado de aptitud Pedagógica” equivalent to PGCE. Recently, I have moved to the UK, and got my QTS. Regarding my experience, I have provided extra after school private lessons to kids and adults, offering twelve years of varied instructional experience by teaching in primary, secondary, high school and university students, and even companies. Learning a new language is an exciting journey, not only because we are learning how native speakers talk but, in addition, we are learning their culture, which in some way it transforms and enriches us. I experimented it while I was studying English and still doing so while, at present, learning Hindi.

About the lesson

I am excited about excellence in teaching either Spanish and English where the students’ diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are understood and respected. Due to my degree in Business studies and PGCE in education I have gained broad knowledge of what is required not only to excel in examinations but also to help them interact with confidence. My Lessons start with an ice breaker or dialogue (taking notes of students' needs), continues with `New concept learning´ 1, then drilling activities and ends up with fun games or quizzes in order for me to get feedback and progress from the previous learning. Lessons provide the opportunity to explore by their own so that the learning becomes joyful and long-lasting, adapting my teaching style to students of all ages and backgrounds as I have worked in Academies, High schools (both in the UK and Spain), Universities (PET, FCE; CAE) and for many companies.
