About Jessica
I am a behavioral therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, I have been using ABA therapy with my students for a year now. I have over 14 years of experience working with children with unique needs and I have been tutoring for 4 years.

I use Applied Behavior Analysis when working with children with autism who are also under the supervision of therapists/behavior analysts etc. But in a teaching environment I like to reward children for a job well done with something meaningful to them. Sometimes it is verbal praise, or attention, or maybe just a 5 minute break to color a picture. I want the experience to be fun for them so that they will retain the knowledge. Most kids find school to be a chore, but I like to create an atmosphere for them so that they actually want and choose to come to my lessons. I really love keeping them interested because I love the look on their faces when they learn something new and actually begin to understand it.
