About Faye Katherine
I have been teaching English for almost 8 years and have worked in a diverse range of religious and cultural settings. I was very fortunate to work and live outside of the US which helped me broaden my knowledge and learn from new experiences. In the process of teaching English to students, I've also had the chance to learn new languages such as, Japanese and Arabic, both of which I've studied for more than 5 years. I believe this gives me a unique edge as a tutor as I can utilize my extensive teaching and translation skills to help and also understand my students better. My experience teaching both in the US and abroad has also allowed for me to adapt to many different cultural and professional contexts and learn valuable skills to help me advance and expand on my knowledge in the field. I always look for opportunities to get to know my students better so I can guarantee that, whatever their objectives are, they will succeed in achieving them with me!

I'm a CELTA qualified teacher that has taught students of various age groups and backgrounds. Over the years, I have taught at schools, universities, language institutes, and businesses. I've had extensive experience in supporting students' specific learning objectives as well as challenges they faced when it came to achieving their goals. I believe tutoring extends beyond providing students with course materials and should also focus on the student's needs so the course can be tailored in a manner that will incentivize and encourage students and ultimately, help them retain and use what they've learned with me.
