About Caroline

My name is Caroline, I am Studying a Bsc in molecular biology and biotechnology at the University of Stellenbosch. I achieved high marks in both maths and science and matriculated with a 89% aggregate. I also managed to come in the top 5 at my school (Tyger Valley College). I didn’t always find maths and science easy, at the beginning of high school I was really struggling with grasping concepts and getting very frustrated with myself. I then found a Maths and science tutor that was patient with me and got me to believe in myself that I can actually pass these subjects. In the end of my school career, I got the results that I had always wanted and actually fell in love with science and maths. So I really do empathise with struggling students and know that the right teacher can make all the difference!

About the lesson

Im very passionate towards maths and science, however I understand that these subjects may be difficult to grasp. In High School, I really struggled with these subjects, but I managed to matriculate with a distinction for both maths and physical science, therefore I understand that sometimes students just need to approach the subject in a different way. I am a empathetic teacher and like my lessons to be engaging.

I enjoy teaching high school students (Grade 8-12) and give lessons in english.

I mainly do online lessons but can possibly do in-person lessons if you are situated in Stellenbosch or surrounding areas. I charge by the hour.

A typical lesson would start off with you giving me any questions/homework that I can help you with and we will work through it together. For the more Theory based subjects I would also provide any notes that are needed.
