About Talya
Hi! My name is Natalya Jackson, and I am a dedicated Math and English tutor for students in grades 1–8. I enjoy helping students learn, grow, and gain confidence in their abilities both inside and outside the classroom. I am patient, encouraging, and understanding, and I believe every student can succeed with the right support and teaching style. I work hard to create a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes while learning. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident, independent learners who enjoy learning new things.

I tutor students in grades 1–8 in both Math and English, helping them strengthen their academic skills, build confidence, and improve their understanding of important concepts. In math, I teach topics such as basic operations, fractions, decimals, word problems, geometry, and pre-algebra, while in English I focus on reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and writing skills. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive, and I adjust my lessons to fit each student’s learning pace and needs. I use step-by-step explanations, practice activities, real-life examples, review games, and positive encouragement to help students fully understand concepts instead of simply memorizing answers. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, developing problem-solving skills, and growing academically.
