About Lauren
I have significant experience working with children of all ages. In addition to being a camp counselor, volunteer, and babysitter of all ages, I have worked with children professionally for the past 8 years. I began as an early childhood teacher (floater) then transitioned to a full-time infant teacher while completing my Bachelors Degree. As a full-time infant teacher, my co-teacher and I cared for 8 infants; in addition to caring, we promoted a positive and nurturing environment focusing on physical, mental, and social-emotional growth. After graduating, I worked as a paraprofessional at Sage Day School, a private school catering to students with emotional and behavioral needs. I then transitioned to Woodcliff Lake Middle School as a Special Education Teacher's Assistant where I worked one-on-one in an LLD classroom learning/teaching ABA. During the pandemic, I found myself searching for new opportunities and ultimately could not be happier working FT at Huntington Learning Center.

Based upon the education and experience I have received, my teaching approach can be identified as differentiated instruction. Having worked with students of all ages and at all levels, I understand that no two students act, grow, or learn exactly alike. Through differentiated instruction and focusing on "the whole child," I am confident in my teaching approach.
