About Josh
Hi, I’m Josh, an Astrophysics student at Cardiff University. I achieved A* grades in Physics at both GCSE and A-Level, and I have experience tutoring school students in person. I’m now looking to move into online tutoring to help more students build confidence in Physics and Maths.
My interest in Physics started through space documentaries, but it was an enthusiastic teacher at school who really helped the subject click for me. Because of that, I understand how much difference a clear and patient explanation can make.
I aim to make lessons friendly, relaxed, and adaptable, so students feel comfortable asking questions and working through topics at their own pace. Outside of academics, I enjoy socialising, pub quizzes, and keeping active.

My lessons are adapted to the student, depending on what they need most help with. Sessions can focus on understanding difficult topics, going through homework, practising exam questions, improving problem-solving, or building confidence before assessments.
I can use presentations, quizzes, worked examples, and my own notes to support the lesson. Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout, and I will always try to explain ideas in a clear, step-by-step way.
Lessons usually last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on what works best for the student.
