About Sukanya
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Statistics at Oakland University, Michigan, USA, where I have been teaching undergraduate mathematics for the past three years. I also hold an M.Tech. from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University.
I genuinely enjoy helping students understand mathematics and become more confident in their abilities. I am patient, approachable, and happy to explain a concept in different ways until we find the method that works best for you. At the same time, I believe in structured learning, regular practice, and steady progress. My goal is to create a friendly and professional environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing strong problem-solving skills.

I offer structured, syllabus-focused instruction in mathematics and statistics, including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and competitive-examination mathematics. I am also happy to adapt the syllabus according to each student’s academic goals and learning needs. I patiently explain concepts using multiple approaches to identify the method that works best for the individual student. My classes combine conceptual understanding, guided problem-solving, regular practice, and disciplined progress. I have three years of experience teaching undergraduate mathematics students at Oakland University in Michigan, USA. My lessons are suitable for school and college students, as well as competitive-examination aspirants.
