I am a Canadian Certified Teacher with 10 years of international boarding school experience, including 6 years teaching elite curricula in Beijing. I specialize in IB TOK, Social Science, English Reading/Writing, Model UN, and Law.
My teaching methodology relies on a structured, curriculum-driven approach designed to build long-term academic mastery. I assess each student’s current level and design a custom, forward-looking learning plan. I teach students how to think critically, dismantle complex prompts, and construct academic arguments using structural frameworks for essay writing, advanced source analysis, and persuasive debating techniques.
A typical 60-minute lesson begins with a 10-minute targeted review of the day's core concept. The next 30 minutes focus on interactive teaching and guided analysis, where I introduce texts, case studies, or other frameworks to build deep conceptual understanding. This is followed by 10 minutes of active practice, where the student works under my real-time coaching. We close with 10 minutes of feedback and setting independent extension tasks for the next week.

My Lesson Policy
I offer a free first lesson to ensure we are a great fit. For all ongoing sessions, I use secure Stripe invoicing to keep payments simple and professional. Currently, I accept all major credit cards, with support for Alipay, WeChat, and other international payment methods coming soon.
I want our lessons to be great for you! Here are a few simple rules for scheduling and refunds:
- Booking & Payments: All lessons must be paid in full when you book.
- 30-Day Limit: You have 30 days to use your lesson after you buy it. Please make sure to schedule your lesson within that time!
Need to Cancel?
- More than 24 hours before: You can cancel or change the time for free. You will get a full refund if you need one.
- Less than 24 hours before: I cannot give a refund because I cannot fill the spot on such short notice.
- Emergencies: I know life can be hard. If you have a family emergency or get sick, please tell me as soon as possible. I will be happy to help you reschedule or talk about a refund.
- My Promise: If I have to cancel, I will always offer you a full refund or reschedule the cancelled lesson.
