About Yvette
Confidence arrives when you stop fearing the unknown variable and start dismantling the problem piece by piece. Problems are solved through careful structure and the application of foundational principles I refined during my years at UNSW.
My 10 years of experience allow me to transition easily between supporting struggling students and challenging advanced learners with competition math. I emphasize geometric intuition so you can visualize the solution before you even put pen to paper. Degrees in Financial Mathematics and CS do not mean the math is easy, but they do ensure I know the shortcuts. Most students struggle with geometry because they try to memorize shapes instead of visualizing coordinates.
I have spent 10 years sharpening the problem solving strategies that differentiate top tier students from the rest. Across my time teaching 58 students, I have learned that clarity is the only path to mastery in mensuration and coordinate geometry. My approach relies on stripping back complex word problems until only the fundamental logic remains.
