About Alex
I am currently in my second year at Cambridge University, studying Architecture, and enjoy the interdisciplinary aspects of the course. In particular I have a passion for the historical and theoretical aspects of classical architecture coupled with the structural and mathematical principles of contemporary construction. I completed the IB in 2021 at King’s College school with 44 points, achieving 7s in all my subjects (HL English, History, Latin). I am also a keen hockey player for Cambridge university. I really enjoy tutoring in my spare time, and find it a rewarding and tremendously fulfilling pursuit.

I have 3 years of teaching experience. Each lesson I plan in advance and are designed to be interactive sessions which address modules and exam techniques of issues identified by the student and myself. I work through and explain example questions/essay structures with the student and cover revision techniques. My focus is to build confidence and help students improve their technique before their exams, as well as teaching/filling any knowledge gaps. I set homework and mark it before the following session, and provide a report to the parent after each lesson.
