About Lucy

I am currently working on my PhD at Cambridge University, my research is in Aerodynamics and Engineering. I graduated from Imperial College London with First Class Honours and have achieved the Dean's list award for the highest scoring students of the year. I have also won the President's award for Societal Engagement for my work with outreach to encourage more women in STEM. Beyond academic achievements, I really enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge. I am a kind tutor and very patient, and having been a student myself recently, I remember the particulars of what I had found tricky when learning it and hope to pass on all the tips and tricks I’ve learnt throughout the years.

About the lesson

I am an experienced tutor specialising in teaching Maths at all levels as well as Engineering and Physics. I am a visual learner and will offer more intuitive explanations for concepts to really help students understand the content they are learning. I believe exam technique and knowing what to look for is also an important part of learning the subject. I have been tutoring since in secondary school myself and have taught up to master's level students. My method is very tailored for each individual student and I am a very patient and understanding teacher. My aim is for the student to feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts and ask questions and work as a team to learn the content.
